UsesUse as a specialized mortar and grout for the laying of Glass Blocks. Suitable for above & below grade application. May be used as a Mortar for regular bricks and blocks where a white joint is desired. May also be used as a Stucco material. Features and Technical Data
IN 44 LB (20 KG) BAGS 72 PER SKID CoverageEach 44 lb bag will lay approximately 16 pieces of 8 inch by 8 inch Glass Block with a 3/8 inch mortar joint. PreparationAll surfaces should be clean and free of oil, gas, paint, grease, etc before applying mix. |
DirectionsEmpty contents of bag into a clean mixer, mortar-box or wheelbarrow. Add water while thoroughly mixing to the consistency of a heavy batter (drier than regular Mortar). Follow the instructions of the Glass Block manufacturer for the placement of anchors and spacers. Apply Mortar and lay courses, rake or finish joints before initial mortar set. All Mortar joints should be full and not furrowed. Use a damp cloth or sponge to remove excess Mortar from the glass block before it hardens. For best resultsAlways use clean equipment, tools and water. Avoid working in extreme heat. Use only when the temperature is 40ºF and rising. Machine mixing is recommended to develop maximum plasticity and workability. Curing time is 24 to 48 hours. SafetyThis Ultra White Glass Block Mortar contains Portland Cement. Direct contact may irritate eyes and skin. Wear protective clothing (gloves and safety glasses). Wash exposed areas promptly with water. If any material gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly and seek immediate medical attention. DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN and PETS.
